    installre i sorgenti...

    allora, da bravo niubbo oggi pomeriggio mi sono cimentato nell'installazione del mio primo programma...
    bene, ecco i problemmi...

    allora... estraggo la tarball... e va tutti bene... mi sposto con cd sulla cartella... e va tutto bene... faccio ./configure ed ecco l'errore...
    mi dice

    allora? che devo fare? ho capito che dice che gli manca il compiletore c... ma come glielo metto' tente conto che da linux non mi parte la connessione ad internet, quindi eventuali file li dovrò scaricare da windows...

    E' nei cd della distro, cerca il santo gcc e installalo. Se hai mandrake basterà
    #urpmi gcc

    ho installato, ora va più vanti, ma lla fine mi dice

    checking how to run the c++ preprocessor... /lib/cpp
    configure: error: c++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check


    e che vuol dire...

    uff. ho installato anche le glibc, però dice che mi manca gtkm+...
    sul dvd di linux pro c'è il 2.2.4 quindi ho provatoad installare quello... ma quanddo provo a scompattare la tarball mi dice

    tar: Questo non sembra un archivio tar
    tar: Salta la prossima intestazione
    tar: L'archivio contiene header base-64 obsolescenti
    tar: uscita per errore ritardata dall'errore precedente


    cosa devo fare?

    Che comando hai usato per scompattarlo e qual era il nome completo del file?

    se il file tar finisce con tar.bz2 devi usare tar xjf nomefile. se finisce con tar.gz devi usare tar xzf nomefile

    sicuro sia xjf? io ho sempre trovato scritto xvf per i bz2 e xzvf per i gz

    x vuol dire estrai
    v vuol dire verbose (scrive i file processati sullo standard output)
    f indica il file sorgente
    j vuol dire che il file trattato è compresso anche con bzip2 (.bz2)
    z vuol dire che il file trattato è compresso anche con gzip (.gz)
