While the ladies in American games are mostly modest about their appearances and cautious about preserving their own families' status in society, Japan seems to have a whole different approach. With the upcoming Skelter + Heaven, the animated cutscenes are sure to make importers squeal and others scratch their heads. Either way, the visual style is unique and piles on the anime fun into a PS2.
Of the screenshots that we've seen from the game, only one actually deals with some sort of gameplay and even that is an image of rooftops. The description of the game claims that this is a crucial part of the adventure and that large robots are involved that the girls are going to be inside, but it's clear that titillation is more the appeal here.
Do we have a problem with that? Certainly not. In fact, if you were to take a look at The Guy Game with its real-life boobies being bounced around as a reward for trivia expertise you'd see that America is doing just fine as well.
So what have we learned from all this? Sex sells and cartoonish girls with massive eyes and facial expressions that make them look like they were caught unawares in the loo seems to sell just as well. If you want to get a full video look at the game you're going to have to stop by an importers shop to check it out.
So do you really want to see animated schoolgirls holding large weapons and flashing their panties at the camera?
