Battlefront 2 will have 16 battle recreations and some new features.
Taking command points will no longer be the only goal. Much of BF2 will
be objective driven. AI controlled NPC's will represent the primary
characters through the scripted events.
In BF2 the AI's are much improved. This time around AI teammates give
verbal commands signaling where the action is.
All six movies are covered in BF2. The first event was from the
opening scene in Episode 4. The game developers were given a preview of
Episode 3 so authenticity is guaranteed. The emphasis in BF2 is on the
Epsiode 3 movie.
Inside or outside a battleship you may find battles occuring. Thats
right, in BF2 you will also have space combat plus be able to man turrets,
direct landing parties and complete sabatoge objectives.
Dogfighting will be similar to Rogue Squadron. Ships from all the movies
will beincluded plus some we haven't seen like the updated Jedi Starfighter.
You can executerolls, spins and flips with the tap of a button. Each class
of ship will have special bonuses such as speed boosts or assault mode.
Also included in BF2 is the Jedi class. Both Light and Dark sides will be
available. Employed in the game are contextual based moves such as
combinations of strafe and jump slashes. Different Force powers will be
available depending on which side you choose.
The game engine is the same one as the original Battlefront tho its been
modified to play smoother and look better. Classes have been tweaked based
on feedback. The PC version will have beefed up textures for maps and skins.
For multiplay the net codes has gone through dramatic changes partly to
remove the frame rate cap in multiplay games.
