The May issue of the UK's official playstation 2 magazine has an interview with Hideo where he talks about MGS4 and a question refers to the new director as Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi. He then went on to say "I want to keep a distance from MGS4. I will still be involved, as will Yoji Shinkawa (concept artist) and the team that has been making the series for the last ten years"

The article only talks about MGS4 at the end, it was OPS2 coverage of the the UK launch event where Hideo and the press were given cooked snake and other strange foods such as bees and grass hoppers to eat! It also talks about MGS3 and Raiden/Raikov.

The entire MGS4 question/answer is as follows:

OPS2: We understand you only directed Metal Gear (3) because nobody else was brave enough to take it on. Now that youre moving away from the series, what do you think the new director, Ken-Ichiro Imaizumim will bring to MGS4?

HK: I want to keep a distance from MGS4...(laughs). I will still be involved, as will Yoji Shinkawa, and the team that has been making the series for the last ten years. But, as i said before with the zone of enders series: even if you have the same recipie or the same ingredients, if you have a different chef the meal will be prepared differently. Thats what im hoping for. We have a great recipe and great ingrediants and Im sure this new chef will maintain the goodness of the MGS meal (at this point everyone looks at Mr Imaizumi who makes a terrrified face). But you probably wont find so much wasabi (a spicy condiment) in MGS4.

I dont think Imaizumi was there its just OPS2 trying to be funny!

The only mention of E3 is speculation from OPS2 that there will be a trailer in May and also they say Snake will star. But these ARE NOT confirmed in the article. Only the new director.

Kojima aveva detto di voler chiudere la trilogia Solid con MGS3.
