Da un'intervistra alla Square:

At the recent business conference Squenix held where we expected them to unveil a new game (which they didn't, bastards), the company restated its ambitions to become the biggest global publisher the market has ever seen, a claim only backed up by the actual proof of their sales in the first 6 months of this year. Should they attain their goals, they'll be seeing over $1bn turnover within 3-4 years with 25% of that coming from online titles.

As for the "interesting" part, Final Fantasy XII was confirmed for release this financial year, along with the other already announced PS2 titles and three unannounced ones. Upcoming Crystal Chronicles and Sword of Mana are still on their way, with another title coming for the GBA as well (presumably a port of FFIII?).

The most interesting comment to come out of the meeting, however, appears to be Yoichi Wada's statement that the European market is more promising than even the Japanese one, and that Square Enix will be paying it a lot of attention in the near future, with improved localizations for the territory - meaning more games, and faster.

Dimenticavo:
Scordatevi un Chrono Break per almeno 2/3 anni...

Masato Kato, the scenario designer and story planner for Chono Cross and Chrono Trigger respectively, and therefore the actual mastermind behind the story, is doing the scenario for Baten Kaitos, indicating that he presumably wouldn't be involved too closely with any major projects at Square Enix.

A quanto pare Kato è impegnato con Xenosaga 2 e Baten Kaitos... (quest'ultimo ricorda moltissimo CC... basti vedere il protagonista, uguale a Serge! (persino i capelli blu )

Kingdom Hearts 2 development uncertain?
While Kingdom Hearts 2 remains a heavily rumoured title for Square Enix, especially with the Deep Dive movie already made, and E3 looming, Tetsuya Nomura (director and character designer for Kingdom Hearts) stated to Dorimaga magazine that development of the title is as yet undecided. On the other hand, however, Squenix president Yoichi Wada confirmed its development to Reuters. And to add to the confusion, Amazon Japan has had Kingdom Hearts 2 on its pre-order list since March 29.

Chrono Break, come ho detto, senza Kato non parte, quindi bisogerà aspettare ancora anni...
Suikoden 3 il mio rivenditore ha detto che potrebbe uscire PAL in contemporanea a Unlimited SaGa... ottobre quindi. Ma non è ufficiale.
