November 04, 2003 - In a bit of disturbing news for adventure fans, DreamCatcher Interactive revealed to IGNPS2 today that it has ceased all production on the PlayStation 2 version of Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon. Though it's still confirmed to appear for the Xbox and PC platforms the week of November 17, the game definitely won't be seeing the light of day on Sony's machine. Or at least, not in the Americas it won't.
"Broken Sword will not be appearing on the Sony PlayStation 2 platform for the simple reason that Sony did not approve the software for publishing in North America," said a DreamCatcher Interactive representative. "As many people know the title has, however, been approved for sale across Europe."
The European PlayStation 2 version of Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon will ship on November 14.
