Ciao Gormy, ho preferito aprire un forum, piuttosto che spedirti una mail nella speranza che anche gli altri utenti possano aiutare me e chiunque abbia questo stesso problema.
Ho provato a installare SWAT3 e durante l'installazione non ho avuto alcuna difficoltà. Ho installato tutti gli aggiornamenti presenti sul CD B seguendo le istruzioni sulla rivista. Il probelma è che dopo la breve introduzione il gioco si incanta e l'intero sistema va in tilt, senza poter terminare il programma ne riavviare normalmente il PC. Ho provato ad disinstallare e reinstallare il gioco, senza patch, riavviando dopo l'installazione, passando dalla gestione automatica del file di swap a quella massima consentita, ma il risultato non cambia: giunti al menù principale il computer si blocca...

Come vedi il mio computer non è dei più potenti ma assolutamente perfetto per poter giocare ottimamente (come voi stessi fate notare a pag. 29 di GMC di Natale), non riesco proprio a capire quale sia il problema e non penso sia la versione della scheda (tra l'altro non riesco proprio a trovare i driver, nemmeno sul sito della ATI, comunque nessun gioco mi ha mai dato problemi a riguardo)...
Dimenticavo che durante le installazioni erano attivi il Norton Firewall, Norton Antivirus e Norton Crashguard...che sia questo il problema???(provo e ti faccio sapere, anche se non mi hanno mai dato problemi)

Niente da fare Gormy, ho installato per l'ennesima volta Swat3, escludendo i vari antivirus e installando tutte le patch, ma il risultato è sempre lo stesso: il gioco si blocca, la musica si incanta e il computer va in crash senza rimedio (nonostante il Norton CrashGuard!!!).
Oramai non so più dove sbattere la testa!!!

Ho provato a installarlo in tutti i modi possibili (leggi meglio) e ormai non so dove sbattere la testa (uhmmm...questa frase l'ho già detta...).
Finchè non avrò una risposta esauriente non proverò a fare ultriori installazioni, tantomeno proverò a far partire il gioco pur di evitare il crash del sistema...gorman aiutami!!!
A proposito, domani darò il cd ad un mio amico, nel caso anche il mio amico ha problemi che faccio?? Richiedo un Cd nuovo??

Niente da fare...ho avuto la possibilità di provare oggi l'installazione sul computer di un mio amico. Ho disattivato tutti i programmi in Background lasciano solo quelli del registro di windows, ho installato tutte le patch, ma il risultato non cambia...ho già spedito una e-mail all'indirizzo che mi hai indicato e chiesto la sostituzione spiegando nel dettaglio il problema. Spero che il cd arrivi presto, nel frattempo giocherò con i demo
