    Cool Guida a GCC

    plz raga mi potete dire come fare a installare i GCC ... sn andato sul sito ma nn capisco niente

    Su Mandrake basta avviare una shell di root e digitare:
    # urpmi gcc
    Oppure graficamente con:
    # rpmdrake

    Su Debian, tiro a indovinare :
    # apt-get install gcc

    Su Gentoo (mi sento come se parlassi da solo ):
    # emerge gcc

    Sulle altre non ne ho idea.

    In Mandrake avvia rpmdrake, quindi cerchi per file o per nome quello che t'interessa/serve.
    Se qualcosa non risulta, cerca in http://fr2.rpmfind.net/ .

    però alcuni non ci sono nel rpmdrake...
    Sia che cerchi il file pkg-config o il pacchetto di nome pkgconfig ti verrà presentato lo stesso pacchetto da installare (pkgconfig ...).
    Prova, non devi scaricarlo, è già nei CD !

    Per il problema GLIB cerca glibc-devel (quando configure dice che manca qualcosa, cercando il pacchetto per nome, metti il -devel ; ad esempio per compilare applicazioni basate su Qt, serve libqt3-devel, etc...).

    grazie ora provo

    EDIT:

    sto scaricando glibc-devel (16MB)
    speriamo che si metta a posto
    per il pkg ho il pacchetto .tar.gz, l'ho scompattato e nella cartella ho fatto ./configure, make e make install, ma non capisco se è successo qualcosa o no

    La Mandrake 9.1 (usi quella se non ricordo male) usa GTK+ 2.2.1 , quindi per l'ultimo GIMP2 non va bene. Aggiornarle potrebbe creare dei problemi, visto che tutte le applicazioni nel tuo PC che usano GTK+2 sono compilate con la versione 2.2.1 .
    Ma usare il GIMP nella Mandrake?
