- Ci sarà una modalità cooperativa dedicata con livelli separati, a quanto pare Treyarch non ha voluto rispondere alla domanda su un eventuale ritorno della modalità zombie
- Al momento è in studio una possibile beta multiplayer
- Treyarch ha intenzione di migliorare la modalità multiplayer partendo dai feedback degli utenti
- Verranno applicate alcune modifiche al matchmaking in modo da rendere più semplice l'immissione in partite multiplayer con i propri amici
- La modalità multiplayer è stata sviluppata prima di quella in singolo e si trova in uno stato talmente avanzato che alcuni livelli della campagna sono stati fatti derivare da alcune mappe per il multiplayer
- L'opzione "Create-a-Class 2.0" consente la personalizzazione del proprio combattente in maniera più profonda rispetto a prima, con la possibilità di cambiare aspetto, equipaggiamento e abilità speciali
