"First off, I’d like to welcome you to the development forum for Wasteland 2… after all, it’s because of you that we are even here right now. I’ve been wanting to get back to this franchise for over 20 years and the entire reason Fallout exists today is because I was unable to make a sequel back in the day, and after I cleared up the legal issues we were not able to get publishers excited unless it was a potential “billion dollar franchise” or they just didn’t want the kind of gameplay experience that classic role playing games offered. It was frustrating!
Fortunately, we are in a different era with thanks to fan based funding and digital distribution. We have a chance to move the power back to the developers, allowing us to make genres of games that publishers just would not support. I had completely given up on making a Wasteland sequel until just recently, and I can tell you the last few weeks have been a blast re-connecting with the fans and working on designs. It reminds me of why I was excited about the games business to begin with."

Il team è stato praticamente "convocato" pezzo per pezzo da Fargo (attualmente a capo di inXile Entertainment), e tra i membri annuncia anche c'è il compositore delle musiche del primo: Mark Morgan (sì, il compositore della OST di Planescape Torment )...

Approfitto per postare anche la "Storia di Fallout" pubblicata da No Mutants Allowed, così meglio capirete le influenze che ha ereditato da Wasteland:

Ok bello, ma secondo me era più sensato un remake del primo Wasteland. Cosa succederà se ci saranno riferimenti? Quelli che come me non l'hanno mai giocato potrebbero non apprezzarlo al 100%.

È fatto vent'anni e passa dopo. Ovviamente ci saranno riferimenti qua e là, ma nulla di indispensabile per apprezzare il gioco, solo qualche piccolo bonus qua e là che farà contenti i fan senza rovinare niente ai nuovi arrivati.
Comunque bella notizia. Speriamo che il progetto vada a buon fine, e che l'eventuale successo di questa iniziativa per Wasteland 2 convinca anche Obsidian a muoversi, perché per adesso c'è stato solo il discorso di Avellone, fatti zero.

Se cominciano una campagna su kickstarter hanno i miei soldi, così come li ha avuti la double fine.

Se accettano pagamenti su circuiti VISA non ci dovrebbero essere problemi...o, molto più probabile, non ci dovrebbero essere problemi se accettano Paypal e tu usi la postepay come carta su Paypal...

In realtà paypal non è accettata, eh già!
Se hai una postepay nessun problema invece. Basta farsi un account valido su www.amazon.it in cui registrerai nome cognome sticazzi e la carta.
Al momento di donare, una volta scelto il reward, ti chiederanno "Vuoi collegare blablabla ad amazon?" fai Si, nome utente, pass...e donazione avvenuta.
Comodissimo Ci ho messo un minuto netto per donare sia per The Order of The Stick e la Double Fine.



Se mantengono i reward come sono cercherò di pigliare quello da 100, come per la Double Fine. Mi attira troppo.
