Problema ad installare programma (importante)

ciao a tutti
per un esame universitario dovrei installare un programma chiamato SAPGUI (preso dal sito del mio professore,è un file rar di circa 200 mb)
come indicato dal professore,prima di installarlo avrei dovuto scaricare l'ultima versione di java (dal sito java.com) ,aprire il file .rar contenente in programma ,cliccare due volte sul file "PlatinGUI-Win32-710r5" (questo è il file per windows,poi stanno anche file per linux,macOS etc) e aspettare che partisse in automatico l'installazione

il problema è che cliccando due volte sul file " PlatinGUI-Win32-710r5" non si avvia il programma,ma si apre la cartella sotto forma di file rar (non so se mi sono spiegato bene,in pratica il file per partire in automatico dovrebbe essere un file .exe o simile.....invece a me il file esce sotto forma di file .rar.....

type of file :Archivio WinRAR (.jar)

c'è qualche modo per far partire questo file in automatico ?? al massimo domani vi faccio qualche screen per farvi capire meglio la situazione

cioè che faccio? apri con java ?...no perchè così non succede niente :S cioè si apre la schermata del cmd per un secondo ,poi scompare

Associate the file with the Java Runtime Environment.

• To do associations, go to "My Computer", click on one of your drives (C: for instance). When it is shown, choose "tools->folder options" (or properties... it's in different places depending on the windows version).
  
  • Open windows explorer (just open any folder) to get the tools -> folder options window.
  
  
• When you get the folder options window, click on the tab "file types". You should be able to either edit or add JAR files (.jar extension)
• Change the program used to open JAR files. In the file select window, go to the folder where the JRE is installed (should be c:/program files/java/ (...), mark "always open with", and select the javaw.exe file
• If you prefer an easier setup or if the manual instructions above do not work for you, you can use jarfix (freeware)

Another way to do this is to right-click the .jar file, and select the "open with..." option.

• If the open with don't show in the right-click menu, try holding shift while clicking.
• Select javaw.exe as above, and see if it runs.
