    21 Settembre 2015 | Ore 02:00 - Cerimonia di consegna dei Primetime Emmy Awards, condotta da Andy Samberg (trasmessa negli USA su Fox, su Rai 4 in Italia)

    Ieri sera è scaduto il termine per la consegna dei ballot in merito alle nomination, quindi da qualche parte nel mondo, c'è in questo momento qualcuno che GIA' SA. Noi in compenso possiamo provare a indovinare per i prossimi 15 giorni chi verrà nominato, nello scenario post-apocalittico che è la categoria Drama senza il suo Re, e la solita merda che sarà la categoria Comedy.

    REGOLE INEDITE
    - Si passa a 7 nominati sia per la categoria Drama che per la categoria Comedy, contro i 6 nominati degli anni passati.
    - Tutte le serie da 40/60 minuti sono ora considerate Drama, e quelle da 20/30 minuti delle Comedy, sebbene ci siano alcune eccezioni (Shameless, Jane the Virgin)
    - La categoria "Miniseries" cambia nome e diventa "Limited Series". E vengono definite secondo questa categoria tutte le serie con due o più episodi, lunghe più di 150 minuti e che abbiano una storia e dei personaggi "non ricorrenti" da una stagione all'altra. Secondo questa regola, True Detective (sebbene non eleggibile per questione di tempistica), a differenza dell'anno scorso dovrebbe essere considerata una Limited Series.
    - Sono eleggibili nella categoria "guest stars" solo i performer presente nel 50% o meno degli episodi di una stagione televisiva. La vincitrice della scorsa edizione nella categoria Guest Actress, Uzo Aduba di Orange is the New Black, non può più candidarsi qui (ma in Supporting), secondo la nuova regola.

    Che qualcosa possa vincere siamo d'accordo, ma che parta da favorito (specialmente nella categoria più importante di tutte) dopo aver vinto 0 emmy negli ultimi 3 anni assolutamente no.
    Che HoC e GoT siano favoriti me lo dice la logica di come funzionano gli Emmy solitamente, ovvero non tornare su un nominato dopo che è stato droppato, e non tornare su una serie vincitrice dopo che ha già vinto. Ci sono eccezioni, ma dopo che nelle ultime 3 edizioni il supporto per GoT e HoC non ha fatto altro che salire (a livello di vittorie e di nominations accumulate), per Mad Men invece non ha fatto altro che scendere a dismisura, con 0 vittorie in 3 anni e l'anno scorso che sono scesi addirittura sotto la doppia cifra come nomination. E sono tutti fattori che contano immensamente in Best Drama perché per via di come la categoria è strutturata (votano TUTTI i voters eleggibili), è quella che solitamente premia in base a come una serie è ricevuta dalla totalità dell'industria, e il buzz per questa stagione non mi porta a dire che Mad Men possa avere chissà qualche chance di vincere best Drama.
    Ed è anche questo che intendevo dicendo che occorre aspettare le nominations (e gli episodi che gli attori scelgono, nel caso delle altre categorie), prima di poter cominciare a parlare seriamente di favoriti.

    Senza dimenticare poi che la leggenda del "goodwill verso la stagione finale" è appunto una leggenda, in quanto solo 3 serie hanno mai vinto Best Drama per la loro stagione finale nella storia degli Emmy, e oltre a Breaking Bad l'anno scorso (che ha dominato da qualunque punto di vista l'intera annata in termini di awards) e The Sopranos nel 2007 (che aveva un buzz a dir poco leggendario), l'altro caso risale addirittura al 1977 (Upstairs, Downstairs).

    Black Mirror è passata negli USA, e credo che stia in TV Movie, Hamm è eleggibile.

    Comunque è la seconda volta che ci ritroviamo a parlare di Emmy nel thread di qualche serie, tocca aprire il thread ufficiale.
    Vabe mad men non vince il Best drama (e a quel punto prego affinché lo vinca House of Cards, giusto perché le altre alternative fanno ancora più pena) e jon hamm prende la tripletta attoriale (mad men, Black Mirror e unbreakable kimmy schmidt). Ci sto

    Ecco, questo è l'unico comprensibile motivo per la quale non voler vedere The Knick. È effettivamente molto gore a livello grafico. E ben più realistico di un The Walking Dead.
