How to flash your GeForce card.
Format diskette through Windows, without any system files.
Run the boot98c file and insert the formatted diskette.
Insert a new disk.
Copy the nvflash, CWSDPMI, 76gsagpn.rom to this disk
Download latest drivers from
www.nvidia.com
Remove the current nvidia display driver: go to; control panel / software
Boot your PC with the boot98c disk.
Do not use the DVI connection but the CRT if possible.
Insert the disk with the nvflash program and the BIOS file on it.
Type:
First backup your original BIOS first:
A:\nvflash –b original.rom
Flash the new BIOS into your card:
A:\nvflash -4 -5 -6 76gsagpn.rom
Two notifications will come up, just press “Y”
Your VGA will be programmed.
Reboot your system and install the drivers and reboot.
With any problems, for example the screen stays black after rebooting. Restore the original.rom by removing the VGA from your system and adding a PCI VGA card to your system. Set your mainboard BIOS setting on VGA through PCI as first display adapter. Switch the PC off and install the VGA next to your PCI VGA card (connect the monitor with the PCI card) and run the flash again.
If the new BIOS is not working, restore the original by A:\nvflash -4 -5 -6 original.rom
