Io ho un HD maxtor ide 3,5 e dopo 2 anni non mi ha mai dato nessun problema. Adesso ho letto che molti si lamentano dei maxtor; secondo me è una discreta marca.

i sata danno più problemi..
poi bisogna guardare anche gli hdd che si rompono rispetto a quelli venduto, non si può guardare solo quanti se ne sono rotti..
Io ho sempre avuto Maxtor e non ho mai avuto problemi...

gli IDE erano ottimi se ne rompevano davvero pochi mentre con i Sata la Maxtor ha prodotto diverse serie fallate però non sono da considerare pessimi perchè altre serie funzionano perfettamente

se va sulla Seagate invece va sul sicuro e il prezzo è quello...

I Maxtor di 2/3 anni fa erano dei buoni dischi, ma da un anno a questa parte sono diventati i peggiori mai visti
Tanto maxtor non produce più hard disk, è stata acquisita da Seagate e tutti i dischi che trovate ora sotto marchio maxtor sono dei seagate rimarchiati.

si i Caviar(e altre serie)da 7200RPM sono ottimi hard disk anzi molti dicono che sono i più affidabili e spero di riuscire a comprarne unoBarrog

gordon mi spiace dirtelo ma sbagli in piano, quando seagate ha acquisito maxtor non ha eliminato la catena di produzione, non ha toccato nulla.. i maxtor rimangono maxtor e i seagate dei seagate, questo è stato detto chiaramente.
i maxtor sono diventati i più schifosi quando hanno buttato sul mercato i sata, evidentemente hanno fatto i controller schifenti..
Hai detto che ormai i maxtor sono dei seagate rimarchiati, ma da quale serie possono considerarsi tali: DiamondMax20, DiamondMax10, DiamondMax9...Gordon_135
E poi, sono realmente affidabili, essendo prodotti dalla seagate, oppure sono ancora delle ciofeche?

è stato anche detto che la serie DiamondMax 20, marchiata Maxtor, ha la meccanica dei Seagate Barracuda...Criveller
