Steam ed il DVD rigato

Qualche anno fa ho acquistato HL2.
Oggi avevo intenzione di reistallarlo sul PC, quando, con orrore, noto che il computer non riesce a leggerlo... il DVD è rigato.
Installo steam (dal DVD di Episode One) e con tutta sorpresa noto che steam stà scaricando il gioco. E qui vi chiedo: mi richiederà il DVD, in seguito, o semplicemente sapendo che l'account è il mio mi scaricherà tutto il gioco?

anche il mio dvd a lo stesso problema cm non ti preoccupare una volta che hai inserito la cd key su steam il dvd e inutile, ti scaricherà il gioco completo e non ti richiederà un bel nulla

Molto bene, comunque, Steam allora non è poi così male come dicevano ai tempi in cui ci fu la grande polemica circa la sua liceità... Grazie ancora ^_^
