Interview stuff, I took out things that sounded interesting:
-As usual, the title and the game always try to carry some kind of theme. The theme here is the heart. Communication with others, how the heart is affected by problems or courage and pushing on. Understanding of each other. That kind of stuff.
-Development started right after the debug of Destiny PS2 finished, so it was about Winter 2006.
-The series usually has an image of being "anime". He feels that they should try at least once to not do that. They're basically doing the CG to try something new for the series.
-He said he can't make it clear as to whether you can see both the CG or Animation (on one card).
-Shirogumi also did the event scenes of Destiny PS2.
-There's about the same amount of time between the CG and the animation movies. It's about 5 or 6 times Innocence's movie time. He thinks altogether it'll be about 10 minutes (that's about the same amount of time the movies the console Tales had then).
-Between the voices in the CG and animation, a few of them are different. The voice actors had to record twice for some of these particular scenes.
-That dark scene (I guess in the trailer) was the opening. The CG version of course.
-Seems whether the ending is going to be a movie or not he's still thinking of what to use.
-The same theme song will be used for both the CG and the animation.
-Shirogumi's in the middle of working on the CG version of the opening right now, but the anime version of the game is almost done.
-They're in the middle of adjusting the battle system and stuff because of how the BGM, voices, effects, and stuff use the memory, so they can't exactly say how many enemies can be on screen at once yet.
-As for those gauges on the battle screen, he says the general concept is similar, but it's a little different. He can't give the details just yet. (I guess that means that in simple terms, one of those is for Hi Ougis, and one of those is going to be our equivalent to CC, but the way they work and how they're used is going to be a bit different).
-The touch screen is going to be used in battle. He also says the control setup is basically the same as other entries though, so it shouldn't require a massive change of your play style.
-The mic isn't going to be used at the present time.
-He says the touch screen will be used for menus and the like, and they're still checking to see if the touch screen can't have other practical uses.
-I don't think it's exactly party switching, but you can call in a non-active party member for a combination attack. That's...a little disappointing, but on the bright side, it reminds me of games like Marvel vs. Capcom and stuff, so it's still a pretty interesting idea (to me at least).
-Like most recent Tales game, Grade's in.
-As usual you can't move the camera. It usually wasn't a problem, I guess it'll be fine here.
-They talk about Hisui, but he pretty much didn't answer who he was and if he's important.
I think there's nothing else particularly new or important, I'll check again tomorrow if so.
