WASHINGTON - Dieci persone sono morte in un incendio vicino Columbus, in Ohio. Le fiamme, di natura dolosa, sono divampate sabato notte. Quasi certo il movente razziale, dopo che la poliziaha trovato sui muri dell'edificio graffiti razzisti e simboli del Ku Klux Klan.

Le vittime, il cui numero dovrebbe essere ormai definitivo, hanno perso la vita tentando di sfuggire all'incendio di una palazzina di Prairie Township, dove meno di due mesi or sono era stato appiccato un altro incendio.

Altre persone si sono salvate gettandosi dalle finestre. Sembra che una famiglia nera stesse per trasferirsi nel complesso e che un appartamento andato distrutto fosse abitato da immigrati messicani, alcuni dei quali sono fra le vittime.

Today, the name is a symbol of hatred and intolerance to many, but is still used by some organizations.
