credo che lo scopo fosse proprio di limitare l'apporto di variabili esterne come parti aerodinamiche. a parte lo stretto indispensabile per non schioppare doveva essere una caduta libera di un uomo non di un autobot
E' inutile che dite che il mentore è più figo perchè sì, la tecnologia serve e ben venga, ai tempi a Kittinger gli si gonfiò la mano e cominciò a sentire malori non indifferenti a quella quota, non è che avrebbero mandato Felix ancora più in alto incontro a chi sa che cosa (probabile morte anche), in fondo è una cosa pubblicizzata e la guarda il mondo intero.

Inoltre Red Bull aveva tutto l'interesse ad assicurarsi l'incolumità di Baumgartner (motivi umani e pubblicitari), mentre ai tempi l'aviazione Usa fosse morto Kittinger fottesega lo rimpiazzavano con un altro (come han fatto nelle altre missioni Nasa, tanto "è il Governo"), tanto l'avrebbero spacciato come un bene per i posteri...
