Una chicca alquanto divertente è emersa nelle ultime ore sulla saga di God of War: difatti, da un’accesa discussione dedicata ala pellicola cinematografica “Il Ritorno al Futuro”, la quale, secondo dei dirigenti di Annapurna Pictures, avrebbe dovuto chiamarsi Space Man From Pluto, e non Back to the Future, è stata fatta luce sul processo creativo che ha portato alla creazione del nome di “God of War”. Ironizzando sullo strambo titolo da affibbiare alla pellicola, Cory Barlog ha poi enunciato dei possibili altri nomi che avrebbero potuto caratterizzare il brand di God of War, come Angry Man from Ancient Greece o Angry Man from War Nation of Sparta.
A questo punto è intervenuto nella discussione anche David Jaffe, il quale ha svelato quale è stato il grande ragionamento con cui Santa Monica ha attribuito il nome di God of War, e il metodo ha davvero dello sconvolgente: il team ha sfruttato, infatti, la sorte, ponendo all’interno di un cappello tre papabili titoli. God of War, Dark Odyssey e At the Hands of the Gods
Grazie allo strabordante potere della sorte, da quel fantomatico cappello emerse il nome di God of War, che avrebbe poi contraddistinto indiscutibilmente la saga. Ora la domanda sorge lecita: vi sarebbero piaciuti gli altri nomi?
