In occasione del quinto anniversario dalla pubblicazione di The Last of Us, lo studio di sviluppo Naughty Dog è intervenuto tramite i proprio profilo Twitter per aggiornarci sul numero di copie vendute dal capolavoro pubblicato su PlayStation 3 il 14 giugno 2013.
The Last of Us ha venduto in tutto il Mondo oltre 17 milioni di copie. Non è stato specificato se tale numero include anche le unità vendute da The Last of Us Remastered, ovvero l’edizione rimasterizzata su PlayStation 4 pubblicata l’anno successivo.
Vi ricordiamo che il sequel del survival-horror, ovvero The Last of Us: Part II, cui protagonista sarà la sola Ellie, è attualmente in sviluppo e la sua pubblicazione sembrerebbe essere ancora lontana. Il titolo potrebbe arrivare entro la fine del 2019 su PlayStation 4.
