Grazie all’intervento su Twitter di Masahiro Sakurai, abbiamo appreso che Nintendo ha deciso (ma non svelato) quali saranno i personaggi DLC che verranno introdotti periodicamente su Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, il nuovo picchiaduro della serie atteso su Nintendo Switch il prossimo 7 dicembre. Vi ricordiamo che i nuovi combattenti saranno in tutto cinque e verranno resi disponibili entro il 2020.
Sakurai ha affermato che tutte le new entry sono state selezionate internamente, mentre il suo compito si è limitato a decidere la fattibilità dell’introduzione di tale personaggio all’interno del gioco. Inoltre, lo stesso sviluppatore ha chiesto ai fan di evitare le richieste di nuovi lottatori, accettando però l’arrivo di feedback da parte della community. I DLC conterranno un personaggio, uno stage e brani nuovi e potranno essere acquistati sia standalone a 5.99 euro, sia tramite il Fighter Pass a 24.99 euro.
