Come un secchio d’acqua gelata in testa, il team di sviluppo Naughty Dog è intervenuto per spegnere l’hype legato a The Last of Us: Part II e alla possibile presenza dell’attesissima esclusiva PlayStation 4 durante i The Game Awards 2018. Tramite twitter è stata confermata l’assenza del gioco, che dunque non riceverà trailer o altri aggiornamenti durante la cerimonia di premiazione, prevista il 7 dicembre alle ore 2:30 italiane.
Il tweet recita specificatamente che lo studio non ha nulla di nuovo da mostrare durante la serata/nottata dei premi e che novità verranno proposte quando a tempo debito. Naughty Dog ha però precisato che il team sta lavorando duramente sul titolo, cosa che ci fa ben sperare sul sequel di The Last of Us. I The Game Awards 2018 celebreranno il grandissimo anno videoludico che abbiamo trascorso, ma purtroppo bisognerà attendere il 2019 per vedere nuovamente in azione l’intrepida Ellie.
