Lucasfilm ha intimato a Poem Studios, lo sviluppatore con l’ambizioso progetto di realizzare un remake in Unreal Engine 4 di Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, di terminare lo sviluppo con effetto immediato. Il leader Taylor Trotter ha postato su Twitter la nefasta notizia e una fotografia della lettera che ha ricevuto, con Lucasfilm che reclama allo studio l’infrazione delle politiche sul copyright.
“Oggi posto con grande tristezza; recentemente ho ricevuto una lettera da Lucasfilm che intimava a Poem Studios di terminare la produzione di Apeiron [nome del remake, ndr.]. Dopo pochi giorni ho già finito le opzioni per tenerlo a galla. Sapevamo che sarebbe potuto succedere. Mi dispiace e che la Forza sia con voi”.
